Heating mats (150W/m²) are embedded in tile adhesive under hard floors like tiles and stone — they require no extra height. Heating foils are laid under floating floors like laminate, vinyl, or LVT — they sit between the subfloor and the floor covering without adhesive.

Use the Energicwave Size Calculator at https://energicwave.com/calculator. Enter your room dimensions and floor type, and the calculator will recommend the right product, wattage, and size. As a rule of thumb, cover 70–80% of the usable floor area (excluding furniture footprints).

What wattage heating foil do I need?

Accepted Answer
